This is a Whole Foods recipe which happens to be absolutely delicious. No lie - I made it and gave some to Steve for lunch with veggies and he called me just to say I need to make more. I particularly like this one because it does not use oil.
Black Bean Hummus
2 cups black beans drained and rinsed (I just use a can, which is a little less)
2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup tahini
1 teaspoon cumin
2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons tamari
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon dried cilantro (the recipe calls for 1/2 chopped fresh, but I never have it handy)
Just put in your food processor and blend until smooth. FYI - The fresh garlic gives it some spice. Enjoy!
